NMABA Public Policy Committee - Call to Action!

Did you know the House is voting on repeal of the Affordable Healthcare Act today? The vote is only hours away and your calls matter.

Under the proposed plan, up to 14 million people will lose their health insurance by next year. We need to come together as a community to stop this from moving forward. NMABA is very concerned that repeal or drastic reform of the Affordable Care Act would be very harmful to our field and to the families we serve each day. Please consider reaching out to your federal legislators to express your concern and respectfully ask for a “No” vote on this crucial issue.

Here is what to expect: Calls take 1 -2 minutes and you will speak with a staff member. You will express your concern (sample script below) and your information, if asked. That's it! Please take a moment to call!

Call: 202-224-3121
When prompted, select "House" and enter your zip code

"Hi, my name is (Blank) and I am a constituent. Can you tell me representative NAME's stance on the ACA repeal?"

If "NO" - Great, thank you! This will have a negative impact on our families and we appreciate him/her voting no"

If undecided/yes -
"I would like to urge Representative NAME to vote "No" on the ACA repeal. (Add information here about what you do and the impact it will have on families). Repeal of the ACA will have a significant negative impact on families in New Mexico. Please vote "No" on the ACA repeal." ... See MoreSee Less
